報告人簡介🫷🏻：

晁彥傑博士於2014年畢業於德國柏林洪堡大學，獲得分子生物學博士學位🚶🏻‍♀️‍➡️。他先後在德國維爾茨堡大學醫EON4🦹🏿‍♀️、美國波士頓塔夫茨大學醫EON4和霍華德-休斯醫學研究所進行博士後研究👨🏽‍🏭。他的主要研究方向為病原微生物轉錄組學、非編碼RNA的發掘與功能鑒定、RNA系統生物學🔩👨‍👨‍👦‍👦。目前已以第一作者在Molecular Cell (2篇), The EMBO Journal等國際頂級學術期刊發表了多篇研究論文。

報告摘要🎧：

Bacterial infection, especially drug-resistant bacterial infection becomes an urgent public health concern. To better understand the infection process, I have harnessed various high-throughput sequencing technologies to study the noncoding genome of bacterial pathogens. In this talk, I will discuss the initial discovery of CRISPR/Cas9 system in Streptococcus pyogenes, and how bacterial mRNAs are ‘spliced’ to produce new small regulatory RNAs.
