報告摘要：Mitochondrial DNA and RNA polymerases are targets of antiviral drugs against HIV and HCV (hepatitis C virus), causing drug toxicity. We conducted enzymatic and structural studies to understand the molecular basis for drug toxicity. By comparative structural and functional studies of viral target and human adverse reaction target, we identified key features in the molecules to reduce drug toxicity while maintaining drug efficacy.
