    報告人簡介:

Dr. Li graduated from Fudan University in 1993, and got his Master Degree from Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry in 1996. Then he obtained his PhD Degree in Columbia University in 2001 and went on doing the Postdoc in Yale University till 2007. Dr. Ming Li is now the Assistant Member of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and the Assistant Professor of Cornell University.

    報告人研究方向4️⃣:

Elucidation of the mechanisms underlying T cell regulation in the immune system steady state and upon pathogen invasion is fundamental to the understanding of immune system function, and for the design of therapeutics to target faulty immune responses. A major focus in Dr. Ming Li’s lab is to study how evolutionarily ancient signaling pathways are rewired to regulate the highly specialized T cell activities. Using genetically engineered mouse models, they have found that the TGF-beta/TGF-beta receptor and Akt/Foxo pathways play crucial roles in the control of T cell development, homeostasis, and tolerance. Ongoing research in their lab aims to unravel the molecular and cellular mechanisms of such regulation, and to establish the functions of these signaling modules in autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and cancer.
